The First Electric Car Made In Turkey Arrives

Türkiye’nin Otomobili Girişim Grubu (TOGG), founded to realize the 60-year dream to become Turkey’s first global car brand, leading the transformation of the country’s auto industry.

TOGG has unveiled its C-SUV prototype and a Sedan at a public event held at IT Valley in Gebze, Turkey. The launch of the C-SUV in 2022 will position TOGG as the first European manufacturer of non-conventional battery electric SUVs. In addition to being a zero-emission electric vehicle, the C-SUV will be a smart car with best-in-class features such as the longest wheelbase, the most spacious interior, the best acceleration performance and the lowest price.

It is being developed on a 100% electric platform built by TOGG engineers and designers, with intellectual property rights 100% owned by Turkey.

Driven by the ideas of Turkish consumers, the joint work of the TOGG and Pininfarina design team will become a truly attractive design language for both Turkish and global tastes.

It incorporates a large digital entertainment screen that highlights the advanced technology of the car. The user-centered display makes it easy to turn the car into a smart living space.

The single center console stands out as one of the interior’s most important styling and functional features. The shape, reminiscent of an airplane cockpit, also helps control the touch screen via the ergonomics of the console, which houses the gearshift and electronic parking brake functions. The user-centered design of the touchscreen interface supports a simplistic and minimalist interior design, minimizing physical switches with the help of voice command technology.

Users will be able to choose between 2 different ranges of powerful lithium ion batteries. It will offer 2 battery packs that will provide a range of +300 km or +500 km and will allow users to configure their cars by choosing the most suitable range according to their needs.

You will achieve a charge level of 80% in a short time of less than 30 minutes. Therefore, the car will have enough charge for the rest of the trip during a short coffee break on long routes.

The long-life battery pack with state-of-the-art management systems offers an 8-year warranty.

There are two driving options available, a rear wheel drive (RWD) with a single e-motor offering 200 hp, or an all-wheel drive (AWD) system with the 2nd e-motor located in the front, which offers a combined power of 400 hp.

The independent MacPherson strut located on the front axle improves comfort and performance; while the integral rear suspension system offers a sporty feel and responsive ride with precise control.

You can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 7.6 seconds with the 200 hp RWD option and just 4.8 seconds with the 400 hp AWD option, offering unrivaled acceleration with zero emissions and quiet.

Advanced driver assistance systems, including the “Slow Traffic Pilot”, will have “Level 2+” autonomous driving capability and will lessen the burden on drivers, providing time to make use of the smart functions inside the car.

Thanks to its connected architecture, you will be permanently connected to the Internet without the need for any type of external device. The car will be able to communicate with all smart devices, houses, buildings, infrastructure including the electricity grid and smart cities.

A pioneering example of this disruptive approach is the “Holographic Wizard.” This innovative assistant will benefit from advanced eye tracking algorithms and 3-dimensional holographic imaging technologies to provide a user experience far beyond the ordinary virtual display panel. The “Holographic Assistant” technology will completely transform the in-car experience by replacing the two-dimensional display technologies currently used in automobiles with 3D imaging and augmented reality technologies.

It incorporates more technology, such as the “Holographic Assistant”, with which the driver will not only see the information on the vehicle’s screen without taking their eyes off the road, but will also have access to the rest of the information about the road and the environment. . With augmented reality and 3D enhanced imaging, the driver can more easily use navigation and other driver assistance systems and have a safer, more comfortable and interactive driving experience.
